What is the Community Innovation Lab?

The Community Innovation Lab (CIL) at University of Kentucky facilitates a multidisciplinary network of academics, students, community members and community-based organizations working together to pioneer social change in communities around the world. At CIL we engage with communities - where solutions can be imagined, invested and nurtured - to explore, develop and apply social innovations.

Our Solutions

We help forward thinking community members, leaders and organizations and students develop the skills needed to address societies’ most complex social problems, by applying decades of our findings from community engaged resarch and community practice. Based on that experience, we organize our support efforts in three interconnected areas that we find imperative for success.
